Ask an experienced guitarist about 
guitars and it is easy to be overwhelmed 
with information. There are so many 
types, electric, both solid bodied and hollow
body, arched top, electro-acoustic;
Acoustics; classical, jumbo, resonator...
the list can seem endless and baffling. 

On this site, for starters, we are going to 
reduce it all to two basic types- electric 
acoustic.

So let's define each basic type.

An electric guitar works through an
amplifier.

An acoustic is  unamplified and relies
on its own natural sound.
